Members of SCI-Phoenix were proud to attend and support the annual Junior Jackrabbit Kamp & Predator Hunt, an event dedicated to educating and mentoring the next generation of ethical hunters.
The Arizona Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI) recently hosted its annual Junior Jackrabbit Kamp & Predator Hunt, giving young hunters an incredible opportunity to learn and experience the great outdoors.
This event was designed to teach essential hunting skills, including:
✅ Species identification – Learning to recognize different wildlife in the field
✅ Spot and stalk techniques – How to track and approach game effectively
✅ Predator calling – Calling techniques to attract predators for ethical hunting
✅ Field dressing & meat preparation – Turning the harvest into food
Beyond the hands-on learning, the camp was an amazing community experience. Nathan and his father, Abraham, helped set up camp to welcome all hunters, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable weekend for everyone. Attendees enjoyed great food, camaraderie, and exciting giveaways for youth hunters.
Among the many highlights, our friends Pablo Picasso and Pablo Junior were proud to celebrate a special milestone—Pablo Junior successfully harvested his first jackrabbit! Moments like these make events like the Junior Jackrabbit Kamp so meaningful, as they foster the next generation of responsible and ethical hunters.
This year’s camp was another huge success, and we’re grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported this event. SCI remains committed to providing opportunities for young hunters to develop their skills, gain hands-on experience, and carry on the hunting tradition.
